- Start: Walk down the driveway and turn right.
- Cul-de-Sac: Continue until you reach the cul-de-sac.
- Trailhead: Take the path on the right side of the white house with a front porch.
- Pathway: Follow this path until you arrive at Clam Shell Road.
- Cross: Walk across Clam Shell Road.
- Final Stretch: Take the path on the other side leading to Beach Road.
- Beach Access: Cross Beach Road, and you’ll find yourself at the beach!
You have access to several other beaches at no additional cost. Parking passes are provided for your convenience and can be found behind the left document holder on the kitchen counter (behind the Resort Realty document). Please ensure you note the location and address listed on the parking passes to AVOID TICKETING. We kindly ask that you return the passes to this spot after use for future guests.
- Please respect the beach regulations and comply with any signs you encounter during your visit.
- The beaches are staffed with lifeguards for your safety; it’s important to heed their instructions.
- For your safety, please be aware of the rip current flag alerts:
- Green – Low hazard and calm conditions.
- Yellow – MEDIUM hazard with moderate surf conditions.
- Red – HIGH hazard with rough conditions indicating rip currents.

- Chicahauk Beach – Just a 5-minute walk from the house, this beach offers convenience and proximity.
- Sound Side Beach – Ideal for families with young children due to its shallow and warmer waters.
- Kitty Hawk Beach – Located near the Black Pelican restaurant on the beach road, this beach features showers, restrooms, and parking facilities.
- Coquina Beach – Situated 6 miles south of Highway 158 and Highway 12 intersection along Highway 12 in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This beach is family-friendly, with shallow and warm waters, as well as amenities like showers, restrooms, and parking.
